CES 2007 - Here I Come

January 6th, 2007

This will be the third Consumer Electronic Show for me to attend; not to mention I'll be staying in a hotel in Vegas this time (as opposed to on Nellis AFB or in Prim). Should be fun! Little geek fest, couple cool shows, and money. Wish me luck.

January 1st, 2007

Happy New Years everyone! Hope eveybody had a fun and safe holiday. We had a killer gig down at Twin Oaks. Thanks to all who showed up, Cliff and Monica, and the fortunate few who stuck around till the end...and got free cds. :)  Happy New Year!

Victor Wooten

December 29th, 2006

Alright, it's been a while since I put up a video. Here's a clip from a Bass instruction video by Victor Wooten. This guy is frickin awesome. Now that I'm playing bass, I'm hoping to learn from his techniques. This guy's been playing professionally since he was 5, so I've got some catching up to do. With some time, and a lot of dedication, I hope to be as skilled as this guy.

Update:

Just found out, the Bass head I bought last weekend is the same as Vix. Sweet!

Dark AleX's 3.02 OE Firmware

December 28th, 2006

Yet again, I can't believe hackers have done so well with the PSP. Now experience the ability to launch homebrew code and all the functionality of 3.02 (meaning PS3 interaction and PSX emulation). On revision B, Dark AleX's firmware allows iso loading without a UMD and supports "homemade" psx games. Way to go fellas. Custom Firmware 3.02 OE-A released by Dark_AleX!

The Motherload!

December 25th, 2006

The motherload has arrived! I picked up my Bass rig this weekend down at the Guitar Center in Oxnard (thanks a bunch for the hookup Tim and Jason) and this thing frigin rocks! It consists of an Ampeg SVT 4-Pro Head matched with the SVT410HLF Cab. This thing rumbles to no end. It features a Hybrid design with Groove Tubes and a MOSFET Power Amp.

I want to thank Richie for letting me use his gear.

How many bands can you find?

December 20th, 2006

There are over fifty band names depicted in this picture. See which ones you can find that no one else has and post it in the comments. (ie. The Gorillaz)
